Cilia-MT-Dysregulation - Scrutinizing defective regulation of ciliary microtubule dynamics in ciliopathies towards identification of druggable targets (2023 -2028)

This project is done in collaboration with Prof. Anna Akhmanova (Utrecht University).

By joining forces, we will be able to address the following key objectives: Objective 1. Determine the direct effects of the ciliary MT-tip module on MT dynamics. Objective 2. Dissect the endogenous ciliary MT-tip module assembly in ciliated cells. Objective 3. Model the consequences of ciliopathy-associated mutations and evaluate candidate pharmacological treatment strategies.
